Tony Noki is a highly respected Papua New Guinean litigation practitioner with extensive experience across employment law, civil litigation, industrial relations, and commercial disputes. Known for his disciplined advocacy, pragmatic legal judgment, and commitment to client service, Tony has built a reputation as a trusted adviser to leading corporates, financial institutions, and public-sector agencies throughout Papua New Guinea.

Tony founded Lane Lawyers in 2021 as Principal and later assumed his current role as Partner in 2025. He regularly appears in the National and Supreme Courts, managing complex disputes and appeals, and is recognised for his ability to navigate matters involving multiple stakeholders, intricate legal issues, and high commercial stakes.

Tony commenced his career at a law firm in Port Moresby, where he developed a strong foundation in contentious matters and general commercial practice. He later joined BSP Financial Group Limited as Senior Lawyer, where he advised the bank on major disputes, regulatory issues, and risk management. His move to private practice as Principal of Lane Lawyers allowed him to expand his litigation portfolio and take on significant instructions from both corporate and government clients.

His broad exposure across sectors enables him to provide clients with commercially informed advice, tailored dispute strategies, and strong representation in court. Tony also has extensive experience in advising clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance in ensuring full and proper compliance, risk strategy including mitigation and management.

Beyond legal practice, Tony holds a number of leadership and community roles. He is a Board Member of the Shalom Jabez Foundation Inc. and has served as Company Secretary of the Imbonggu District Development Corporation Limited. He is also active in youth development and student engagement, having been Patron of the Hagen Central Students Association at University of Papua New Guinea.

Tony has a strong presence in sporting and community organisations, currently serving as Vice President of the Handicappers Golf Association having previously held secretarial roles with the Mt Hagen Golf Club (2024–2025) and currently secretary of the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club (2025–2026).
